Lil Wayne Says “The Free Weezy Album” Is Coming Soon

What is Lil Wayne planning?

There haven’t been any developments concerning the legal battle between Lil Wayne and Birdman since the full 21-page lawsuit surfaced at the end of January. Neither Wayne nor Birdman have spoken directly to what’s happening, but we do know that Wayne is seeking $51 million from his label in addition to his freedom.

The other day DJ Drama hinted that he’s working on Dedication 6 with Wayne, to follow Tha Carter V. Now Wayne’s hopped on social media as well, in the early hours of the morning, to send a few convoluted tweets himself.

It appears as though he’s hinting at a new album/a different album than Tha Carter V/a free album, along with a movement “Free Weezy Season.”

In two separate tweets, Tunechi said, “The Free Weezy Album…komin soon#FWA,” and, “Free album. Free Weezy season. The Free Weezy Album. #FWA.”

What do you think he has planned? Let us know your hypothesis below. Check the tweets as well.

I Am Not Sympathetic To Buhari –Gov Aliyu

I Am Not Sympathetic To Buhari –Gov Aliyu

Governor Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu of Niger State said he has no sympathty towards the political ambition of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammad Buhari, because the retired army general truncated his political ambition in 1983. Governor Aliyu, who spoke at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign held at the trade fair complex in Minna, the state capital, added, that though Buhari truncated his political ambition then, he had forgiven him.

Aliyu, who was possibly reacting to reports and insinuation that he was listed as one of the governors sympathetic to the candidature of Buhari, noted that he believed in loyalty and would not leave his party and support someone from another party.“Some people are saying some of us have sympathy for Buhari, I personally, my political ambition was truncated by Buhari in 1983, my people elected me into the House of Representatives, I was annoyed but I have forgiven him. It gives me a lot of opportunity to further my study,” said Aliyu.

The Governor argued that though the APC Presidential candidate may have undisputable qualities and may be honest, those qualities do not translate into public policies. He added that, “I must say, Buhari may be honest as an individual, we may admire him for his personal qualities but believe me, those qualities do not translate into public politics, stressing that, “it does not translate in the way the society is contained, PDP members, you must have confidence, do not be intimidated by any person, do not be intimidated by noise, ethnic or religious sentiment.” He declared that, “I am a PDP man, I believe in loyalty, if I have left PDP, I would have resigned my mandate as a governor because that mandate is in PDP. If anyone says the PDP is bad, he should leave all the property and all they got while they were in the party. They cannot because they know they will lose everything. We must bring back the values of honesty back.”

PDP Accuses APC Of Destabilisation Plot

PDP Accuses APC Of Destabilisation Plot

The All Progressive congress (APC) has been described as agent of destabilization seeking to truncate the transition through its disguised call for interim government. The party’s desperation for presidential powers has made it to submit itself to all forms of wicked and shameful methods which clearly does not have basis in the supreme law of the land. Spokesman for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential campaign Organisation (PCO), chief femi fani-Kayode said this yesterday at a press conference held in Abuja where he dismissed the allegation by the opposition party that the PDP was not ready for the february 14 general elections.

Instead, the presidential campaign organisation spokesman said that it is the APc that is not ready for the elections which informed her disguised call for Interim Government on allegation that it is the ruling party that is not prepared and sues for postponement. Fani-Kayode stressed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has the powers on holding the elections or postponement of the elections within her independent powers guaranteed by the constitution and upheld by the Jonathan administration.

According to Fani-Kayode, the APC desperation for power has also made it lost focus on its preparation for the elections; hence it imported unrestrained violence into the nation’s body politics. He called on Nigerians to call the APC to order stating enough is enough of the party’s illusive flight of self importance. “The All Progressives Congress (APC) and its Presidential Campaign Organisation have inundated the Nigerian people with allegations that the Peoples Democratic Party-controlled Federal Government is not ready for the scheduled February 14 and 28 general elections and that it is plotting to scuttle the process with a view to emplacing an Interim National Government. “These allegations are disingenuous, tenuous and shameful.

Rather than elevate the APC, this resort to mendacity and scaremongering further reduces them to a gang of desperadoes seeking power by all means and simply for the sake of it. “This is because it is common knowledge that the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria does not provide for the Interim Nation Government contraption that the APC talks about. APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has taken it upon
himself to play the devil’s advocate by building up seemingly scary scenarios to create tension, cause panic in the polity and incite supporters of his party and well-meaning Nigerians against the Federal Government, President Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP. “The PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation calls on the Nigerian people to discountenance APC and Lai Mohammed’s petty lies and they can be rest assured that all arms of government are patriotically committed to discharging their constitutionally-prescribed responsibilities and duties.

We believe that the APC’s unconscionable alarm is part of its characteristic and habitual propaganda through which it has over and over again imposed its skewed agenda on many undiscerning Nigerians. We are constrained to take this opportunity to paint an accurate portrait of the APC and its leaders. It is time for us to expose them for what they really are. The truth is that they are agents of destabilisation. They comprise of retrogressive elements that are desperate to take power just for the sake of it. If they ever succeed in taking power in this country, God forbid, they will take the country back into darkness because they represent darkness and everything that is reprehensible. “We, as a party, will not allow them to damage the good work that the PDP, most especially the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, has done to transform our nation.

The APC can go on its illusive flight of self-importance, but it is now increasingly clear to every Nigerian at home and in the Diaspora as well as members of the International Community that the opposition party is excessively desperate for presidential power and has imported unrestrained violence into our body-politic. “The truth is that they cannot win the forthcoming elections and they know it. That is why they have come up with the allegation of Interim National Government. We repeat: those who want Interim National Government are the APC and some elements that are secretly behind their party. Their plan is to prepare a fertile ground upon which to discredit our anticipated victory at the polls, unleash anarchy and violence on the country after they lose so that we would not be able to enjoy our victory. “By the grace of God and the support of a vast majority of Nigerians, their plan will fail. The nation is already subjected to a dress rehearsal of the monumental violence that the APC is planning. You can see how the party has attacked virtually everyone except itself. It is time that all Nigerians of goodwill told the APC that enough is enough.

Grace Okpara, Nigerian Worker In Ogun State Tortured By Her Lebanese Employers

Grace Okpara, Nigerian Worker In Ogun State Tortured By Her Lebanese Employers

A Nigerian employee who has been tortured and maltreated by her Lebanese bosses is in pains at the moment.

A Nigerian woman, Grace Okpara, is reeling in pains on her hospital bed after she reported that she was subjected to a bout of torture, by her employees who are Lebanese nationals.

According to Okpara, the couple, Joseph and Hala Yasbek, had employed her as a cleaner in the logistic company located in Ibafo area of Ogun State but in the course of her work, they turned her into a general servant and in the process, abusing her severally.

Okpara, a wife and a mother, claimed that after a mild argument on Wednesday, 14 January, 2015, the couple beat her up and dragged her severally on the ground, an act she reported to the Ibafo Police Division.

Speaking to the Punch Newspaper, the 37-year-old Edo State indigene, said she has been assaulted several times over allegations of dereliction of duty.

"I work as a cleaner at the Lebanese company, and I earn N20,000 as salary. The incident happened on January 14 at about 11.30am. We were three working as cleaners in the company.

That day, Hala said I did not clean the premises very well, but as I tried to explain, she kicked me and I fell. Minutes later when the husband showed up, I reported Hala to him, but he also slapped me.

I fell ill after the incident and went to the hospital for treatment. I was treated at a private hospital in Ibafo. I was discharged on Thursday and then went to report to the police. The fee for my treatment was paid by the police at Ibafo."

But according to the police, the Lebanese couple have denied assaulting Okpara, saying that she was the one who wanted to beat up the wife before her husband intervened to protect her.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, said:

"The two Lebanese were invited, and we have asked them to come back with officials of the company.

The Lebanese husband explained that it was the complainant who wanted to hit his wife, and he had to block her (Grace) by pushing her away.

The fact is that the two parties had been having conflicts for some time. It is not a matter of assault alone. We are trying to mediate between them.

But if the woman feels she had been so badly maltreated, the police can charge the matter to court

Three feared dead at PDP rally in A'Ibom

Three feared dead at PDP rally in A'Ibom

At least three persons were feared dead during the Peoples Democratic Party rally in the Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on Saturday.

It was learnt that trouble started after a youth snatched the money which was the share of one of his colleagues at the rally. The money was said to have been given to the youths as payment for attending the rally.

A politician who said some of the youths were from his ward and who refused to be named, told our correspondent in Uyo on Monday that the other youths who felt cheated by the development chased the man who was running away with the money.

He stated that when the youths apprehended him, one of the youths hit him on the head with an iron rod and he died.

A youth, Udo Ekong, who also claimed to be an eyewitness, said friends of the young man who was hit with a rod, clashed with the assailants.

He added that the incident left three persons dead with many others seriously wounded.

"A youth snatched the money that was brought by one of the politicians for all of the youths in attendance to share. Some of us came from a far distance; we did not have money of our own to go home.

"Nobody could really tell what motivated him to hijack the money that was meant for someone else. And I am sure at the end of the day; none of us got more than N2,000.

"Most of us don't have jobs. Before we leave our houses, we usually budget what we are going to do with whatever money we are able to get from political rallies."

All attempts to speak with the PDP spokesman and Commissioner for Information, Mr. Aniekan Umana, proved abortive as he did not pick calls to his telephone nor responded to text messages sent to his phone.

However, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Etim Dickson, confirmed that one person was murdered.

In a text message sent to our correspondent, the police spokesperson confirmed one death.

The text read, "Be informed that on June 31, 2015, around 7.10pm, after the close of the governorship campaign rally held in Etinan, some youths who were given money to share among themselves had a disagreement with the sharing formula and a scuffle ensued between the- suspect, Emmanuel Sunday Okon of Ekom Iman and the deceased, Emem Friday Ikpe of Afaha Effiat village.

"The suspect hit the deceased with an iron rod on the head, but died in the wee hours of Sunday. The suspect was promptly arrested and investigations are ongoing."
